Every audition poses its own unique challenges, but the "Under 5" or day player audition is a force to be reckoned with! 

The goal and purpose of this class is to give you the concrete tools to:

  • Create a fully realized character and POV when the script gives you next to nothing

  • Prep a one-line scene

  • Deliver something special, while staying true to the context/purpose of the role

  • Maximize the impact of the audition when you barely speak

  • Deliver exposition or functional copy in a compelling way

  • Differentiate yourself in what reads like a "stock" role--i.e.: the cop, the lawyer, the victim, the innocent witness, etc.

  • Leverage the on-camera time when you are not speaking


The Under 5 Intensive is modeled after our highly successful Audition Prep Intensive. 

  • ONLY THREE ACTORS per class.

  • INDIVIDUALIZED COACHING from both Randi (Casting Director) and Kristin (Performance Coach).

  • NO DOWNTIME. You will always be working.

We'll be using sides from both film and television, and making sense of this very challenging (and common!) type of audition.
